Answers print customers look for

Before ordering, customers want to know what you print, roughly what it costs and how to send their file. InkSpot puts products, indicative rates and file guidelines on their own pages, with a Send your design button on every screen.

  • Home page with popular products and ordering steps
  • Rate list in tabs by product
  • File guidelines with a print sizes table
  • About page and contact page with map

Orders with the file attached

The order form asks for the product, the design file, quantity, size and finish, and whether the customer will collect or wants delivery. The file is checked by type, attached to the email and never saved on your hosting.

  • PDF, JPG and PNG uploads up to 5 MB
  • File type checked by its contents
  • Collection or delivery with an address box
  • Spam trap and input checks

Easy to keep up to date

Rates are plain HTML rows, so a price change takes a minute in any text editor. The product drop-down on the order form is built from the same list, and colours and fonts are set in one place.

  • Rates as simple rows
  • Size table you can extend
  • Business schema markup
  • Colours and fonts in one CSS block

Every page, and what a customer does there

The home page opens with a Send your design button and three popular products with a 'from' price: visiting cards, flex and banners, and wedding cards. A design-help block tells people without a file that your designer can prepare a layout and that nothing is printed before they approve the proof, followed by four ordering steps (send the file, price and proof, approve, collect or delivery) and cards for brochures, stickers, wedding and event printing, and delivery. The rates page groups indicative prices in tabs by product, with a note that design, rush jobs, special papers and delivery are extra and that colours on paper can differ slightly from a screen. The file guidelines page covers file type, resolution, CMYK colours, bleed and margins, fonts and spelling, a table of common print sizes and a short note on only sending artwork the customer has the right to use. The about page describes the shop and its in-house finishing, and the contact page has the address, map and a message form.

  • Home: popular products, design help, ordering steps
  • Rates in tabs with an honest pricing note
  • File guidelines and a print sizes table
  • Order, About, Contact and 404 pages

How a print order reaches you

On the order page the customer gives a name, phone and optional email, picks the product from a drop-down grouped the same way as the rate list (or 'something else'), attaches one design file, chooses to collect from the shop or have it delivered, adds a delivery address if needed and describes quantity, size and finish, for example both sides with matt lamination. Before the file is accepted, send.php checks its size and reads its first bytes to confirm it really is a PDF, JPG or PNG, whatever its name says. The file travels as an attachment on the email to your press team; the enquiry itself is also logged in the admin with the file name noted, but the file is never saved on the website. Files over 5 MB go on WhatsApp or email, as the page explains.

  • Product, file, collection or delivery, and job notes
  • Size and type checked on the server
  • File emailed, never stored on the hosting

Your admin panel for the press

In /admin/ you enter the shop name, logo, phone, WhatsApp, email, address, map and shop hours once, and they replace the demo details on every page. Order enquiries and contact messages sit in the Enquiries inbox as well as your email, so the counter staff can see what came in overnight and download the list as a CSV. Set up SMTP for reliable delivery of emails with attachments, switch on the WhatsApp button so customers can send large files, and use the announcement bar for wedding-season deadlines or a festival closure.

  • Enquiries inbox with CSV download
  • SMTP for emails with design files
  • WhatsApp button for large files

What you get, what you need, what it does not do

The zip contains the HTML pages, stylesheet, JavaScript, the PHP form handler and config.php, the admin panel, sample photos, an .htaccess file, a README and the installation guide. It runs on any cPanel host with PHP 7.4 or later; check that your host allows uploads of at least 5 MB. It does not calculate prices from quantity or paper, show proofs on the website, keep a file library, track jobs or take payment online: you quote, send the proof on WhatsApp and take payment at the shop or on delivery.

  • No live price calculator
  • No online proofs or job tracking
  • No online payment
