Sell online without a monthly store fee
Store builders charge every month and take a cut of every sale. Kora is a shop you own outright: a home page with featured products, a shop page with search, category filter and sorting, a page for every product, a cart and a checkout. Customers can check out as a guest or create an account to see their order history.

Run the shop from the admin
Products, orders and customers live in a database: SQLite is built in, MySQL is optional. On first run it is filled with the demo products, which you edit or delete in Admin → Shop. Every price, discount, delivery charge, fee, tax and total is recalculated on the server when an order is placed, and an order whose total was changed in the browser is refused.

Payments, delivery and order tracking
You choose which payment methods to offer and in what order: cash on delivery, bank transfer, UPI or pay on pickup. With UPI the customer scans a QR code for the exact total, and you mark the order paid once the money arrives. After ordering, the customer sees a confirmation page with the live status and tracking link, and gets an email each time you change the status.

The pages around the shop
Kora is set up for a small shop selling handmade homeware, and every word can be rewritten for what you sell. The home page shows your current favourites, four promises (made by hand, delivered across India, packed to arrive safe, real people on WhatsApp), sample customer quotes to replace, and an invitation to send a photo of a room for suggestions on WhatsApp. The our-story page explains where your pieces come from and how an order travels from workshop to door. The shipping and returns page covers delivery, payment and breakages in plain words, and the contact page has a message form that lands in the admin's Enquiries inbox as well as your email.

Your shop admin, screen by screen
Admin → Shop has its own screens for Products, Categories, Orders, Customers, Coupons, Payments, Shipping and Tax, with dashboard figures and a list of products running low on stock. Alongside it, the general admin holds your shop name, logo, contact details, currencies, live chat, analytics, announcement bar and SMTP email. The zip holds the storefront pages, CSS, JavaScript, the PHP shop engine and admin, the demo products and photos, an .htaccess file and an illustrated installation guide. It needs PHP 7.4 or later with pdo_sqlite, which most cPanel hosts have switched on.

What it does not do
Kora does not take card payments on its own. Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal and Cashfree are separate add-ons with their own licence; they plug in without code changes and have been tested against mocked gateway responses, not real payments. Refunds are made in the gateway dashboard or by you, and you then mark the order Refunded. Automatic currency rates, abandoned-cart emails, product reviews and GST/VAT invoice PDFs are also separate add-ons.
