How it works

From order to a live website

  1. 1

    Choose a package

Code only, We set it up, or Customised. All prices are one-time.

  2. 2

    Pay securely

Your download link and licence key are emailed once payment is confirmed and also appear in My Account.

  3. 3

    We contact you

For setup packages we email within one business day for your hosting access and domain details.

  4. 4

    Live on your domain

Your shop runs on your own Node.js hosting, with orders in your admin and in your inbox.

A complete shop you own, not a monthly subscription

Hosted store builders charge every month and keep your shop on their platform. Code Craft Store is the source code of a full online shop: a storefront, a cart and checkout, and an admin panel, all in one Next.js app with its own database. You host it on your own server and can change anything.

  • Home, shop, category, product, cart, checkout, order, account and contact pages
  • Admin panel with a first-run setup wizard
  • Demo shop with 26 products in 8 categories to start from
  • SQLite with no setup, or PostgreSQL / MySQL

Catalogue, variants and stock

Products can have up to three options, such as size and colour, and every combination has its own price, sale price, SKU and stock. Categories can be nested and have their own SEO title and description. Shoppers search, filter by category and price (in their own currency) and sort; items running low or sold out are labelled, and the admin dashboard lists low-stock items.

  • Variants with their own price, SKU and stock
  • Sale prices shown with the old price crossed out
  • Stock reserved when an order is placed, returned on cancel or refund
  • Product and category SEO fields, sitemap and product structured data

Selling to any country, in any currency

Choose a base currency and the currencies shoppers can switch to, each with its own rate, symbol, decimals and symbol position. The choice is remembered and every order records the currency and rate used. Delivery zones are set by country with flat, free-over-an-amount, weight or order-value tables and local pickup, and taxes can be set per country or region.

  • Visitor currency switcher
  • Address form that works for every country
  • Delivery methods per zone
  • Prices including or excluding tax

Payments: built in and as add-ons

Cash on delivery, bank transfer (your bank details shown after ordering), UPI with a QR code, and pay on pickup are built in; you switch each on or off and set the order. Card and wallet gateways are separate add-ons: Stripe (Checkout Sessions with signed webhooks), PayPal (Orders v2) and Razorpay. The store checks the paid amount and currency before marking an order paid.

  • Cash on delivery, bank transfer, UPI, pay on pickup
  • Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay add-ons sold separately
  • Payment add-ons verify the gateway's signature
  • Orders record the payment reference

Your control centre

Orders move through pending, paid, processing, shipped, delivered, cancelled and refunded, with a timeline, private notes, tracking number and link, an email to the customer and to you on each change, a printable invoice and CSV export. Settings cover your business details, logo, colours, home page, announcement bar, cookie notice, live chat (Tawk.to, Crisp, Tidio or your own snippet), the WhatsApp button, GA4, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, SEO defaults, maintenance mode and SMTP email.

  • Dashboard: orders today, revenue, low stock
  • Customers, coupons and an enquiries inbox
  • Email log shows every email sent (or waiting for SMTP)
  • Multiple admin users

What is in the zip and how it is built

You get the complete TypeScript source of one Next.js 16 app (App Router, React 19, Prisma 6, Tailwind CSS 4): the storefront pages in src/app/(store), the control centre in src/app/admin, the cart-quote, checkout, add-on and cron endpoints in src/app/api, the pricing, order, licence and email logic in src/lib, the Prisma schema and a seed script that loads the Harbor & Pine demo shop with its photos. npm run setup creates the database and the demo; npm run build and npm start run it in production. Images you upload in the admin are stored in storage/uploads and served at /media, so back that folder up with your database. npm test runs the money and currency tests and the tests of any installed add-on.

  • Full source with README and Installation-Guide.pdf
  • Demo shop: 26 products in 8 categories
  • Uploads kept in storage/uploads
  • Tests for money handling and add-ons

Add-ons and scheduled tasks

Extra features live in folders under addons/. Copy a folder in, run npm run build (or restart npm run dev) and it is registered automatically, with its own settings form, enable switch and licence key field in Admin → Add-ons. A payment add-on starts the payment, handles the return and the webhook, and the store re-checks the amount and currency itself. A shipping add-on can add delivery options, a currency add-on can update rates, and a marketing add-on can add code to the storefront. Tasks such as the daily rate update run when an admin opens the dashboard, or every hour if your host's cron opens /api/cron with your CRON_SECRET.

  • Payment, shipping, currency and marketing hooks
  • Settings and licence key per add-on
  • Cron endpoint protected by CRON_SECRET

What it does not do

It needs Node.js hosting: a VPS or a host that runs Node.js apps. It will not run on PHP-only shared hosting. Card payments need one of the gateway add-ons and your own account with that provider. There is no marketplace (multi-vendor), subscription billing or mobile app in this product, and product reviews are not included.

  • Requires Node.js 20.9 or later
  • Gateways are add-ons, sold separately
  • Single-vendor shop
