Live on your domain
Your store takes orders and grocery lists on your own hosting. You manage them in the admin, and each one is also emailed to you.
Take grocery orders without an app
Annapurna gives a local grocery store its own ordering website. Customers search or browse staples by category, add them to the cart and check out with their address, a delivery option and a payment method. They pay cash on delivery, by UPI or bank transfer, or collect from the store. Each order is emailed to you and appears in Admin → Shop → Orders, and the customer gets a confirmation page with the live status.
- Search, category filter and sorting
- Pack sizes as variants, each with its own price
- Coupon field for offers
- Guest checkout or a customer account
For customers who just want to send a list
Many families already order by sending a photo of a handwritten list. The 'Send your list' page lets them upload that photo with their address and preferred slot, and it arrives in your inbox as an attachment. WhatsApp buttons across the site open a chat with a ready-filled message.
- Photo or PDF upload, emailed as an attachment
- Home delivery or store pickup choice
- WhatsApp list ordering on every page
- Send this cart on WhatsApp from the checkout
Prices, stock and delivery charges in the admin
Grocery prices change every week, so products live in a database you edit in Admin → Shop → Products, not in code. Change a price and the next order uses it. Stock goes down with each order and comes back if you cancel, and the dashboard lists items running low. Delivery charges are set by area, with free delivery over an amount and store pickup. Every total is recalculated on the server, and a total changed in the browser is refused.
- Products with photos, gallery, variants, sale price and stock
- Coupons: percent or fixed, minimum spend, expiry and usage limits
- Shipping zones and tax rates by country or region
- Orders: status, tracking, status emails, invoice and CSV export
Who it suits, and the rest of the site
Annapurna is written for a neighbourhood kirana or general store that already takes orders by phone and WhatsApp and wants a proper website for them. The home page sets out your three delivery slots with their order-by times, the minimum order, the free-delivery amount and a Send your list call-out. The about page tells the family story of the shop and what you do differently, such as sorting dals by hand or keeping monthly accounts for regulars. The delivery and returns page covers slots, area and charges, payment at the door, how price changes and substitutions are handled, and what can be returned; it is marked as sample text for you to rewrite. The home page's neighbour quotes are samples too, to replace or remove. The list-upload form takes a JPG, PNG or PDF up to 5 MB, with home delivery or store pickup, an address and slot notes; the file is emailed straight to you and not stored on the website.
- Slot table and minimum order on the home page
- List photos emailed, not stored on the site
- Delivery, returns and substitution policy page
- Sample text marked for you to replace
In the zip and what you need
The download has the HTML pages, CSS, JavaScript, the PHP shop engine and admin, the demo grocery products and photos, an .htaccess file and an illustrated installation guide. It runs on cPanel or shared hosting with PHP 7.4 or later and SQLite built in. In the admin you also set the store name, phone, WhatsApp, address, map and hours once for every page, and can show an announcement bar for a festival closure or a weekly offer.
- No WordPress or app store needed
- Store details set once in the admin
- Announcement bar for offers and closures
What it does not do
Annapurna does not book delivery slots automatically or block orders under the minimum: the slot table and minimum order are notes you confirm on the phone. It does not take card payments on its own. Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal and Cashfree are separate add-ons with their own licence that plug in without code changes; they were tested against mocked gateway responses, not real payments. Refunds are made in the gateway or by you, then the order is marked Refunded.
- Built in: COD, UPI QR, bank transfer, store pickup
- Slots and minimum order: confirmed by you
- Card payments: separate add-ons
