Answer the first three questions
Anyone looking for a tiffin asks the same things: what will I eat this week, how much is it a month, and do you deliver to me? Ghar Tiffin answers each on its own page: a weekly menu table, a plans page with three cards, and a delivery areas page with timings.
- Weekly menu as a meal-by-day table
- Three plan cards with lunch, dinner and both
- Delivery area cards with charges
- Lunch and dinner time slots
Turn enquiries into subscribers
The subscription form lets people pick a trial meal or a monthly plan, a start date and a delivery slot, with their address and food preferences in the notes. Requests arrive in your inbox and you confirm the area before taking payment. A trial meal option lowers the barrier for new customers.
- Trial meal and monthly plan options
- Start date and delivery slot
- Notes for address, spice level and dislikes
- Spam trap and input checks
Easy to update every week
The menu table is plain HTML with one row per meal type and one cell per day, so changing next week's menu takes a few minutes in any text editor. Plans and areas are simple cards, and FoodEstablishment schema, titles and descriptions are ready for Google.
- One row per meal type
- Plans and areas as editable cards
- FoodEstablishment schema markup
- Colours and fonts in one CSS block
What it does not do
Ghar Tiffin does not take payments, run recurring billing, track pause days or plan delivery routes. It is your public website: keep using your register, spreadsheet or app for the daily list, and collect payments by UPI or cash.
- Subscriptions: by email and WhatsApp
- Payments: arranged by you
- Menu: edited in plain HTML
Who it is for
Ghar Tiffin is made for a home kitchen or small tiffin centre that feeds students, PG residents, hostel boys and girls, working people and offices every day. The copy talks about steel tiffins swapped daily, lunch and dinner slots, Jain meals cooked in separate vessels and pausing when someone goes home for the weekend, which are the things a tiffin customer actually asks about.
- Home tiffin and dabba services
- Kitchens feeding PGs, hostels and coaching areas
- Office lunch suppliers
What each page does
The home page opens with Start a subscription and See this week's menu buttons, four points about home-style cooking, veg, non-veg or Jain, hot delivery and pausing, a block about your kitchen, three plan cards with starting prices, a three-step how-it-works strip and a Request a trial meal call-out. The menu page is a table with veg lunch, veg dinner, non-veg and Jain rows for Monday to Sunday, followed by notes on the Sunday special and switching a non-veg day to veg. The plans page shows lunch-or-dinner and lunch-plus-dinner prices for each plan, the tiffin deposit, trial meal prices, pause days, PG group plans, low-oil meals and monthly payment by UPI or cash. The areas page lists delivery zones with their charge, the lunch, dinner and Sunday timings, the cut-off for changes and how the daily tiffin swap works.
- Menu table: meal type by day
- Plan cards with both price options
- Delivery areas with charges and timings
- Trial meal call-out on the home page
Subscription requests and the admin panel
The subscribe form asks for a name, phone, optional email, a plan or trial (three trial meals, six monthly plans, a PG or hostel group plan and an office lunch plan), a start date, a delivery slot at lunch or dinner time, and notes for address, spice level or allergies. Each request is emailed to you and saved in the admin's Enquiries inbox, where you can scroll through new subscribers and download them as a CSV to start your daily list. In the admin you set your kitchen name, logo, phone, WhatsApp, address, map, kitchen hours and social links once, and they change on every page. You can put up an announcement bar for a festival menu or a holiday closure, choose the WhatsApp button message, and add Google Analytics or live chat.
- Trial, plan and group requests in one inbox
- CSV download for your daily list
- Announcement bar for holidays and festival menus
In the zip and what you need
The download holds seven HTML pages, the stylesheet and scripts, the PHP form handler and admin, the photos, an .htaccess file and an illustrated installation guide. Any cPanel or shared hosting with PHP 7.4 or later runs it, and SQLite is built in. Upload, open the admin, paste your licence key and send yourself a trial-meal request. All prices in the demo are sample prices.
- No WordPress or database to set up
- Sample prices to replace with yours
- Weekly menu changed in one HTML table
