How we work
Counselling is a conversation with a trained professional who listens carefully and helps you find your own way forward.
Led by what you need.
Each counsellor draws on approaches with a strong evidence base and adapts them to you, your language and your family situation.
- Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- Person-centred counselling
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Mindfulness-based techniques
- Couples and family therapy
What to expect
First session
We listen, ask some questions and agree what you want to work on.
Regular sessions
Usually weekly or every two weeks, at the same time if possible.
Reviews
Every few sessions we check together how things are going.
Ending well
We plan the last sessions together, and you can return later.
