Subsidy for home rooftop solar
Eligible households may get central financial assistance for on-grid rooftop solar under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, and some states add their own benefit. Amounts, eligibility, approved vendors and the application process are set by the government and change from time to time.
- Check the current PM Surya Ghar scheme rules on the official national portal before you decide
- Ask your electricity distribution company (DISCOM) about net metering
- We help you prepare the forms and documents
- Any benefit is paid as the scheme rules say, not by us
SAMPLE TEXT: we do not quote subsidy amounts on this page because they change. Check the current PM Surya Ghar scheme rules and your state's rules before relying on any figure, and confirm whether your installer must be a registered vendor.
Solar generation depends on sunlight, shade, roof direction, panel cleaning and the weather, so units generated and bill savings vary from site to site and month to month. We share an estimate for your roof after the survey. It is an estimate, not a guarantee.
