Our story
Started with a cart of second-hand books.
Pustak Ghar began as a handcart of second-hand textbooks outside a school gate. Today it is a two-room shop with tall shelves, a reading corner and a stationery counter, still run by the same family.
A few years ago we started Pustak Press, a small imprint that publishes local writers, children's story sets and study guides. Every Pustak Press book in the shop is ours, and we can tell you exactly who edited it.
