Every saree has a weaver.

Sarees, dupattas and stoles woven on handlooms by families we work with directly, chosen one piece at a time and sold with the weaver's story.

This season's sarees

Each piece is handwoven, so small irregularities in the weave are part of its character, not a flaw.

A quick guide to the weaves we sell

Chanderi

Sheer silk-cotton with small woven motifs. Light, crisp and right for daytime functions.

Banarasi-style silk

Heavier silk with rich zari borders and pallu, woven in the Banarasi style for weddings.

Cotton & linen

Breathable, washable everyday sarees that soften with every wear.

Tussar

A textured wild silk with a natural golden sheen and gentle slubs.

The weavers

Woven by hand, one pick at a time.

A cotton saree can take two or three days on the loom; a silk saree with a full zari border can take two weeks. We buy directly from weaving families and pay on delivery of each piece, not months later.

Photos never show a saree's fall and sheen properly. Book a short video call and we drape it, show the border, pallu and blouse piece, and hold it up in daylight.
