FAQs

Common questions

Will it hurt?

Most check-ups and cleanings are comfortable. For fillings and root canals we use local anaesthetic. Tell us if you are nervous.

Do I need an X-ray?

Only if the dentist needs to see something that is not visible, such as the root of a tooth. We explain why first.

When should my child first visit?

Many dentists suggest a first visit once the first teeth appear. Ask us what suits your child.

How often should I have a check-up?

Your dentist will suggest how often based on your teeth and gums. For many people it is every six to twelve months.

Is the fee on the website final?

No. Fees shown are indicative starting prices. You get the exact fee in your written plan before treatment.

Can I get braces as an adult?

Many adults can. Our orthodontist will assess your teeth and tell you honestly whether braces or aligners suit you.
